Dolly Zoom (Vertigo)
Dolly & Track — The whole camera travels — in, out, sideways, or around.
The camera physically dollies backward while the lens zooms in (or the reverse), keeping the subject the same size as the background warps and stretches behind them. The background appears to rush away or collapse inward while the subject stays locked. Ends on a held frame with the distortion at its peak.
When to use it: Dread, realization, or the ground-shifting-under-you moment — the signature Hitchcock/Jaws effect.
Prompt
Camera: dolly zoom (vertigo effect) — camera pulls back while lens zooms in, subject stays the same size in frame, background stretches and warps away, slow and continuous, ends held at maximum distortion.
