Safety & Acceptable Use

Starrd lets you put yourself into short, movie-style videos, photos and songs. You pick a scene, such as a red-carpet arrival, a sports highlight or a music video, upload your own photo, and Starrd makes a clip starring you. This page explains what Starrd is for and what it will not make.

You, with consent

  • Upload photos of yourself, or of people who have agreed to be in your video.
  • Before you create anything, Starrd asks you to confirm that you have the consent of everyone pictured and that you are at least 13. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian’s consent.
  • Don’t use someone’s photo to impersonate, deceive, mock or harass them.

No sexual or intimate content, ever

Starrd must never be used to create sexual, nude or intimate images or videos of anyone, including non-consensual intimate imagery (“deepfake porn”). Content that sexualises a minor in any way is forbidden.

The image and video models Starrd uses run their own safety moderation and block explicit requests and output. A blocked request is refunded, so there is nothing to gain by trying.

Other things Starrd won’t make

  • Content meant to deceive people into believing a real event happened.
  • Harassment, threats, hate, or content that targets a private person.
  • Anything illegal where you or the people pictured live.

Report misuse

If you see a Starrd video that shows you without your consent, or that breaks these rules, email info@getstarrd.app with a link or description. We remove violating content and close the accounts behind it.

Sign-in with Google or Apple

When you sign in with Google or Apple, Starrd receives only basic profile information (your name and email address, and from Google your profile picture), used to create and identify your account. Starrd does not use Google or Apple services to make videos.

The full rules are in our Terms of Service (section 8, Prohibited Uses) and Privacy Policy.
