Quick answer
Starrd's I Wasn't Finished Talking template recreates the viral Tesla Roadster plane-window meme from two photos, both required: photo 1 is you, on the plane, and photo 2 is them, in the car with the sign. Each can be a person or a pet, so it works with two people, two pets or one of each. It is one continuous shot, with no cuts, from the seat next to you on an airliner at golden hour. You sit in the window seat staring out at a sea of clouds; at about 1 to 3 seconds a white Tesla Roadster rises up from below and flies right up close beside the plane, filling the window, with the other person at the wheel staring at you; at about 3 to 4.5 seconds they hold up a big white cardboard sign that reads "I WASN'T FINISHED TALKING". The car keeps pace with the plane while they glare at you and you stare back, frozen, and at about 11.5 seconds you slowly turn to the camera in total shock, mouth open. Type your own sign in the Director's Notes, like 'Sign: YOU FORGOT YOUR CHARGER', and the sign shows exactly those words in capitals (up to 8 words); leave it empty for the default. The Director's Notes can also change either person's outfit. A dog at the wheel holds the sign in its mouth, and a cat on the plane turns round wide-eyed at the end. Sound effects are generated (jet engine roar and cabin hum, a whoosh as the car rises, a gasp or a pet's yelp at the end), with no music. 13 seconds, vertical 9:16, 480p, 150 credits (about $7.50).
You're on a plane, staring out of the window, when your partner flies up beside you in a white Tesla Roadster and holds up a sign: "I WASN'T FINISHED TALKING." Two photos, one continuous shot, sound effects, and a sign that says whatever you want it to. Here it is, with an orange tabby on the plane and a golden retriever at the wheel:
I Wasn't Finished Talking
You're on a plane when they fly up beside you in a white Tesla Roadster holding a sign. Type your own sign. Two photos, 13 seconds, vertical.

- The sign. A big white cardboard sign: "I WASN'T FINISHED TALKING", or your own words.
- The stare-down. The car keeps pace with the plane while they glare at you and you stare back, frozen.
- The look. At the end you slowly turn to the camera in total shock.

What the Meme Actually Is
The original is an AI-made Instagram reel by creator Alina (@alinachroz, "Alina | AI Production"), posted on October 16, 2026, captioned "She wasn't finished talking. 💀🚘" and tagging Tesla. It had about 92,000 likes at the time of writing.
The joke is the caption. You thought getting on a plane meant the conversation was over. It wasn't, and they have a flying car.
It's also the newest in a run of Tesla Roadster trends: Day 1 of owning a Roadster, where the car calmly lifts out of traffic and lands on the moon, and Day 1 of owning a Roadster V2, with rocket thrusters, a loop and a floating coffee.
Why it suits AI: nobody can film a car flying beside a plane at cruising altitude, let alone with your two faces in it. Two photos put you in the window seat and them at the wheel.
The Beats, Second by Second
| Time | Moment | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 0:00 | Cruising | You sit in the window seat at golden hour, staring out at a sea of clouds. Jet engines roar and the cabin hums |
| 1s | The arrival | A white Tesla Roadster rises up from below with a whoosh and flies right up close beside the plane, filling the window. They're at the wheel, staring at you |
| 3s | The sign | They hold up a big white cardboard sign: "I WASN'T FINISHED TALKING" |
| 4.5s | The stare-down | The car keeps pace with the plane. They glare at you; you stare back, frozen |
| 11.5s | The look | You slowly turn to the camera in total shock, mouth open, with a gasp |
| 13s | The end | Still mid-conversation |
Who's on the plane: photo 1, "You (on the plane)". Pick one where your face is clear, since the turn to the camera at the end is your big moment.
Who's in the car: photo 2, "Them (in the car with the sign)". A clear face matters here too: they're seen through the plane window, glaring at you the whole time.
Your Sign, Your Words
The sign is yours to write. In the Director's Notes, type Sign: and then your words:
Sign: YOU FORGOT YOUR CHARGER
The sign shows exactly those words, in capitals, up to 8 words. Leave it empty and it reads "I WASN'T FINISHED TALKING". A few ideas:
- YOU FORGOT YOUR CHARGER. The one we tested, held up by a golden retriever.
- WHO IS JESSICA. For the couple with one question left.
- YOU ATE MY FRIES. For the friend who knows what they did.
- COME BACK WITH MY HOODIE. For the one who borrowed it.
- YOU LEFT ME ON READ. For the group chat.
- WHERE IS MY DINNER. From the pet at the wheel.
Pets Welcome
- Either seat, or both. Each photo can be a person or a pet: two people, two pets, or one of each.
- A dog at the wheel holds the sign in its mouth.
- A cat on the plane turns round wide-eyed at the end, and a pet yelps instead of gasping.
- Tested. An orange tabby cat on the plane and a golden retriever driving, and that's the demo at the top of this page.
Your Look
- Your own faces. Both of you, from your photos.
- Your outfits, if you want them. Describe what either of you is wearing in the Director's Notes.
- Tested with two people. A man in a red LA cap, a bandana and a gold chain on the plane, with a woman at the wheel.
There's no music in this one, only sound effects: the jet engine roar and cabin hum, a whoosh as the car rises, and a gasp at the end. That leaves room for whatever sound you want to post it with.
The sign shows your words exactly as you type them, up to 8 words, in capitals. Check the spelling before you generate.
The Fastest Way
I Wasn't Finished Talking
Two photos: you on the plane, them in a white Tesla Roadster at your window with a sign. Your own words on the sign. People and pets.
Two photos, 150 credits (about $7.50), no prompt. It renders at 480p, vertical 9:16, with sound effects. It sits in the Cars category, next to the Tesla Roadster templates.
Build It Yourself
1. Start from a first frame. Generate the opening shot from the seat next to the window seat on an airliner at golden hour: the person from photo 1 in the window seat, staring out at a sea of clouds.
2. Write it as one shot with a beat list. Say the camera stays in the seat and never cuts, and give each beat a time: the car rising into the window, the sign going up, the stare-down and the turn to the camera.
3. Spell out the sign. Write the exact words in capitals and in quotes, and keep them short.
4. Keep the car at the window. Say the car keeps pace with the plane, right beside the window, until the end. The stare-down only works if they stay there.
One continuous shot, never a cut, vertical, from the seat next to the window seat on an airliner at golden hour. The person from the first reference image sits in the window seat, staring out at a sea of clouds. 1 to 3s: a white Tesla Roadster rises up from below and flies right up close beside the plane, filling the window; the person from the second reference image is at the wheel, staring at them. 3 to 4.5s: the driver holds up a big white cardboard sign that reads "I WASN'T FINISHED TALKING". 4.5 to 11.5s: the car keeps pace with the plane; the driver glares, and the passenger stares back, frozen. 11.5 to 13s: the passenger slowly turns to the camera in total shock, mouth open. Sound effects only, no music: jet engine roar and cabin hum, a whoosh as the car rises, a gasp at the end.
5. Render it vertical. Feed the first frame and both photos to a model that takes reference images (we recommend Seedance 2.0 or 2.5), at 9:16 and 13 seconds, with generated audio on.
Common Mistakes
Skipping the quiet start. The arrival only lands if you were peacefully staring at the clouds first. Give it a second.
Reacting too early. The passenger stays frozen through the stare-down. The turn to the camera is the punchline, so save it for the end.
Losing the car. If the car drops behind the plane, the stare-down is gone. Keep it beside the window.
A long sign. It's a cardboard sign held up in a car window. Short and punchy reads best.
Mixing up the seats. Photo 1 is on the plane, photo 2 is in the car.
Describing the original's people. Describe both of them only from your own photos.
